This article provides a detailed linguistic analysis of Komparation, also known as Gradation or the Degrees of Comparison, focusing on its realization in adjectives and adverbs across various typologically distinct languages, with a specific emphasis on German and English as representative Indo-European languages. Komparation is identified as the morphological or syntactic process used to systematically indicate the intensity, extent, or quality of a denoted property or action relative to one or more other entities.
